You must be physically located in Missouri at the time of your appointment. You will need a private location and a reliable internet connection with a device capable of video and audio.

Your initial psychiatric evaluation is an opportunity for me to understand what you have been experiencing and how it is affecting your life.

We will discuss your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, previous treatments, medications, relevant family and social history, and your goals for treatment.

After the evaluation, I will discuss my clinical impressions and treatment recommendations with you. Treatment recommendations are individualized and may include medication, psychotherapy, lifestyle interventions, additional evaluation or testing, or coordination with other healthcare professionals.

Medication may be recommended when clinically appropriate, but an appointment does not guarantee that a medication or specific prescription will be provided.

Treatment decisions are based on a comprehensive assessment, your medical and psychiatric history, potential benefits and risks, and current standards of care.

Yes. ADHD is one of the conditions evaluated and treated at Thrivewell Psychiatry.

An ADHD evaluation involves more than completing a questionnaire. Attention and concentration difficulties can have several potential causes, so the evaluation considers your symptoms, developmental and psychiatric history, medical factors, functioning, and other conditions that may contribute to attention difficulties.

When ADHD is diagnosed, treatment recommendations are individualized and may include medication and non-medication strategies.

Controlled medications may be considered when clinically appropriate and consistent with applicable prescribing requirements and standards of care.

The decision to prescribe a controlled medication is made only after an appropriate evaluation. Certain medications may require additional monitoring, medical records, laboratory testing, vital signs, or other information before they can be prescribed or continued.

No particular medication, including a controlled medication, is guaranteed as a result of an appointment.

Possibly. Previous treatment and medications will be reviewed as part of your evaluation.

A medication being prescribed previously does not automatically mean that it will be continued. I will make recommendations based on my assessment of the medication's appropriateness, effectiveness, safety, and your current clinical needs.

Having records from your previous psychiatric provider available can be helpful, particularly when transferring ongoing psychiatric care.

Visits at Thrivewell Psychiatry primarily focus on psychiatric evaluation and medication management.

Supportive and therapeutic interventions may be incorporated into appointments when appropriate, but Thrivewell does not replace regular psychotherapy. When therapy would be beneficial, I may recommend working with a therapist or counselor alongside psychiatric treatment.

Yes. With your permission, I can collaborate with your therapist, primary care provider, or other healthcare professionals when coordination would benefit your treatment.

Certain medications or symptoms may require laboratory testing, vital signs, medical records, or evaluation by another healthcare professional.

When clinically appropriate, I will discuss what information or testing is recommended and how it relates to your treatment.

Thrivewell Psychiatry primarily provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management and is not a forensic or disability-evaluation practice. The practice generally does not provide evaluations specifically for disability determinations, legal proceedings, workers' compensation, custody matters, or other forensic purposes.

Requests for forms or documentation related to employment, school, or other accommodations are considered individually and are not guaranteed.

I understand that schedules can change. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Missed appointments will be subject to a $75 late cancellation/no-show fee.
